"Take the Lead"

(A movie review!)

(“I've never seen anyone move like that before.”)

(I'd kill to dance like that. It's like sex on hardwood.)

I just watch last time the movie entitled Take the Lead. The film was already release way back year 2006, month of June day 7. Based on a true story, the movie tells of the struggle of a dance teacher, Pierre Dulain, to give to a group of problem kids a second chance by exploring their dance skills.

This film was much better than I had expected. The story brings to mind movies such as Mad Hot Ballroom or Dangerous Minds, but is different enough that it is able to stand on its own. This is a feel-good movie. You will enjoy it, laugh, maybe even cry, despite being able to predict what is going to happen. The dancing was great (both the hip hop dancing and the ballroom). You won't be sorry you've seen it.

I give it an 8 out of 10, because I was genuinely entertained.

Digital Music Piracy

”Music piracy is any form of unauthorized duplication and/or distribution of music including downloading, file sharing, and CD-burning."

• Stealing music is against the law.
• Stealing music betrays the songwriters and recording artists who create it.
• Stealing music stifles the careers of new artists and up-and-coming bands.

The bottom line is “it’s stealing”…Stealing music is the same as stealing anything else. It is illegal and the consequences are real - for you and for the music.

Napanood ko nga sa Myx, they arguing about music piracy. It says na from the first step to the last step na pagdidistribute na ng music nila to the people ay hindi madali.

For the artist "it can be discouraging that people don’t realize how much time and effort you put into making and promoting a record."

"It helps them to spread their mark on the world” sabi nga sa isang nainterview sa myx, but the point is “nakakatulong but not in the good way or in the short term lng” or in the other side "nakilala nga kmi pero not in the good or legal way"...It means that many music artist na nka sign sa mga kilalang music company/recording labels ay almost affected about pirating music.

About naman sa mga indie artist ay sinasabi nila na hindi sila masyadong naapektuhan dito for example sa interview sa Updharmadown band, they said na they are not affected 100% because their music is about not to sell but to promote it. But how about the bands na nka sign sa mga kilalang music company/recording labels diba. they both sell and promote their music.

"Enjoy the music! But please respect copyrights."
